Knitcrazy Distractions
So I have been knitting crazily for the past few months. I’ve done lots of scarves, and swatches. However, recently I have been working on an awesome antler scarf (pictured below) for the past month. Everything has been going swimmingly, I even memorized the pattern so I wouldn’t have to carry the book everywhere with me. However since last week, I haven’t been able to knit an entire cycle without making huge mistakes. I cabled backwards, I had to duck (pull out) almost 5 rows at least three times. Originally I thought that I was being distracted by my boyhood crush, Sandy Rich (Also pictured below. He’s the boy… not the scarf.) I’ve been watching Flipper episodes again because they just got posted to hulu, and I was often knitting while watching. I can usually watch TV and knit at the same time… but when Sandy’s on screen, I am absolutely driven to distraction. So I stopped knitting while watching Flipper. Alas the knitting mistakes continue, so I’ve had to roll up and bench the scarf for now, and take another shot at socks. That emotional hullaballoo to follow shortly. Expect rants with lots of swears.
P.S. Ravelry, which is like facebook for knitters, and crocheters, lets you post your favorite curse word on your profile. :-D
